Equity in Education - The Vital Role of Youth Work
The Scottish Government has published a full summative review of the Attainment Scotland Fund, providing an overview of progress in addressing the Scottish Attainment Challenge, and emphasising the importance of effective partnership working to meet the educational needs of all young people. We've published a companion report to highlight what has been achieved and learned through the Youth Work and Schools SAC National Programme to date, and the importance of continuing to strengthen collaboration across the educational system, so that all young people can reach their full potential.

Bring the King’s Baton to Your Community in Scotland
The funding, awarded to Commonwealth Games Scotland, will support at least 22 community events during the host nation leg from 1st to 23rd July, with the relay travelling to cities, rural areas and island communities. It will culminate in the Opening Ceremony of the Games. The call for expressions of interest is open until the end of March.

Changes to Lifetime PVG Scheme Memberships
From 1st April, new applicants joining the PVG scheme will become scheme members for five years from the date they join. Existing members making a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme application will automatically move to a five-year membership, ending their lifetime membership.
