World Community Development Conference - Call for Abstracts
Hosted by the University of Glasgow, this unique global event brings together all concerned with community development, its challenges and contributions. Abstracts for WCDC 2026 are welcomed from practitioners, activists, educators, researchers, students, community leaders, policy makers, unwaged workers, and funders, to explore how the discipline and practice of community development can respond to the challenges of a chaotic world, drive meaningful change, and foster collective action. National Survey Explores the Issues That Matter Most to Young People

Young Carer Grant Extended to 19-year-olds
Young carers up to age 19 will now receive Young Carer Grant following an expansion of the benefit delivered by Social Security Scotland. The grant which was previously open to 16 to 18-year-olds is a Scottish only benefit that gives young carers a yearly payment of £390.25.
